Location:

"Casa Bella" is in Historic Temescal in North Oakland along the Berkeley border near 51st & Telegraph, south of the University of California, Berkeley on a direct bus route to the campus. It is about 2 1/2 miles to the University. There are excellent buses and it takes 10-12 minutes to get to campus by bus. BART, which goes to San Francisco and the Oakland Airport, is about 8 blocks away. Buses passing by the building also go to San Francisco and downtown Oakland. Freeway access to San Francisco and Hwy 24 is two blocks away.

Setting is urban with many cafes within one or two blocks. There is an auto rental one mile away and it is easy to get into San Francisco on public transportation. Area is relatively low crime and ethnically diverse.

Easy access to the university labs: The bus that passes in front of the building goes to the pick up point for the shuttle to the Labs and takes about 10 minutes.

Near several area hospitals, including Children's Hospital which is three blocks, Alta Bates which is about 1 mile, Summit which is about 1/2 mile and Kaiser which is about a mile from Casa Bella.

Casa Bella is on a direct bus line into downtown Oakland (Broadway), Chinatown and Jack London Square.
